At Portus, we stand behind the quality, craftsmanship, and functionality of our bathware, fixtures, and home products. Depending on the item, we offer targeted warranties against structural defects and manufacturing faults to give you peace of mind.
Portus Limited Product Warranty (1, 3, 5 & 10 Year Terms)
Portus provides a warranty against manufacturing defects and material failures for specific periods (1, 3, 5, or 10 years) from the date of purchase (Portus Warranty).
Scope & Application
Eligibility: This warranty applies only to products where the listing on the Portus website explicitly specifies a 1, 3, 5, or 10-year warranty at the time of purchase (Covered Product).
Coverage Period: The warranty begins on the date of purchase and runs for the duration specified on the original product listing.
Remedies & Returns
If a warranty claim is approved, Portus will—at its discretion—provide one of the following solutions based on the nature of the issue:

A full or partial refund.

Replacement of defective parts, components, or entire units.
Note: Unless prohibited by law, you are responsible for any reasonable costs associated with submitting a claim, including shipping, freight, or transport costs to return the item to Portus.
Portus 5-Year Structural & Core Component Warranty
For selected bathware, vanities, furniture, and structural fixtures, Portus provides a 5-Year Structural Warranty covering critical core components from the date of purchase.
What Is Covered
This warranty applies strictly to manufacturing defects in the following structural elements (where listed on the product page):

Internal metal, ceramic, or timber framing and support structures.

Solid vanity carcasses, cabinet bodies, and mounting brackets.

Structural legs, bases, and weight-bearing supports.
Specific Exclusions for Bathware & Home Goods
The 5-Year Structural Warranty does not cover non-structural, high-wear, or auxiliary parts, including but not limited to:

Bathware Extras: Flexible hoses, rubber seals, O-rings, pop-up waste mechanisms, and internal cartridge valves.

Surface Finishes: Electroplated finishes, powder coating, matte paint, timber veneers, stone sealants, or glazing variations caused by natural wear or harsh chemicals.

Soft Furnishings & Hardware: Cushions, foam, upholstery, bed slats, cabinet hinges, drawer runners, and surface protective pads.
General Exclusions Across All Warranties
You will not be entitled to a remedy under any Portus Warranty for:

Normal Wear & Tear: Expected deterioration over time due to standard daily use.

Incorrect Installation: Damage caused by improper plumbing, electrical, or structural installation. (Portus strongly recommends using licensed tradespeople for all bathware and plumbing installations.)

Harsh Chemical Damage: Discoloration or corrosion caused by abrasive cleaning agents, bleach, or acidic products.

Misuse & Neglect: Damage resulting from abnormal use, water overflow, accidental impact, or inadequate maintenance.

Self-Transport Damage: Damage incurred during your own transport or handling after delivery.

Minor Aesthetic Variations: Minor, non-functional imperfections, shade variations in natural stone or timber, or slight dimension tolerances.

Packaging Only: Minor cosmetic damage to external shipping cartons or product boxes.
Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law
Important Consumer Notice:
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
The Portus Warranty applies in addition to your statutory rights and guarantees under Australian Consumer Law.
